Durata has showcased a new purpose-built modular data centre showroom in London.
Now the exciting 3m x 2.9m x 2.4m cube will follow up an appearance at the Data Centre World exhibition at the ExCel by touring around Europe.
The showroom is equipped with a high security door, keypad access, CCTV, overhead busways as well as a modular uninterruptible power supply (UPS), IT racks, high-density rear door cooling units and in-rack intelligent PDUs.
Thousands of visitors to the ExCel were able to learn more about how Durata can produce and then deliver a modular building anywhere in the world.
Lewis Cobb, Durata’s head of modular data centre projects, said: “The showroom has been designed to be an immersive experience, with an exploded view that you can walk inside.
“Our clients can interact with a variety of solutions for critical power and digital infrastructure. It is all covered.
“We wanted to exhibit a physical model to show our engineering capabilities and execution, while also being mobile enough to live on Teesside before heading to see clients around the world.”
The portable showroom will now follow up an appearance in London with further outings in Germany for the Data Centre World Frankfurt in May and then in Spain for Data Centre World Madrid.
Legrand, the global electrical and digital infrastructure specialists, helped with the fit-out and helped Durata build on last year’s debut at Data Centre World.
John McGee, Durata’s managing director, said: “It was fantastic to be back at Data Centre World because it is the industry standard-bearer of events.
“We want to illustrate how we have now got such a strong presence in the
market in terms of our growth. Our team described to visitors our ability to be a full turnkey service in critical power and infrastructure for our client base.
“We are now looking forward to making our new mobile showroom a key part of our inaugural visits to Frankfurt and Madrid events.”
In critical power, Durata concentrates on UPS, switchrooms, hyper power infrastructure, diesel generators and battery energy storage solutions.
And across the digital infrastructure market there is a focus on data centre infrastructures, Edge computing, high density computing, immersion technologies and Telco infrastructures.
Data Centre World is the largest gathering of industry professionals and end-users from the markets Durata operate in.
