Durata backs GeN+1's Frankfurt debut

Durata is proud to announce its sponsorship of GeN+1's first international event, taking place in Frankfurt, Germany on October 10.

This marks a significant milestone for GeN+1, a networking community known for its successful events in London, as it expands its reach to support the next generation of data centre professionals across borders.

GeN+1's events manager, Holly Fenner, said: “We are so pleased to have Durata with us and part of this significant step.

“GeN+1 stands out by focusing on the younger generation in the data centre industry, fostering social interaction and collaboration.

“We emphasise inclusivity, addressing skill gaps, and empowering participants to grow their careers through networking in a fun, dynamic setting and Durata support this unique approach."

GeN+1 events go beyond traditional networking. Its Summer Party event in London had attendees from over 150 different companies working in over 250 different job roles – and 44 per cent of those guests were fresh faces to the industry.

The goal is to create a more diverse, supportive community for the future leaders of the industry.

And Durata's managing director John McGee said: “We’ve been impressed by GeN+1's commitment to nurturing and promoting young talent in the data centre sector.

“Their focus on inclusivity and creating a vibrant community aligns perfectly with our own values. We're excited to support their expansion into Frankfurt and look forward to seeing the positive impact this event will have on the industry's future leaders.”

Durata, the specialists in critical power infrastructure based in Middlesbrough, UK, opened an office in Frankfurt last year.

And the Frankfurt GeN+1 event is expected to draw a diverse crowd of young professionals eager to connect, learn, and grow within the industry.

With Durata's support, GeN+1 is poised to make a significant mark on the global stage, fostering a new generation of skilled and connected leaders.

GeN+1 is a community-led organisation focused on empowering the next generation of data centre professionals. Through its engaging and inclusive events, GeN+1 provides a platform for young talent to connect, learn, and thrive in the industry.
